The through-line
Make the reasoning visible.
My work began with human memory: how people reconstruct the past, where they make errors, and how they tell familiarity apart from reliable evidence. That subject is specific. The habit it trained is broadly useful — test what merely looks plausible, find the conditions behind contradictory results, and make the uncertainty legible to someone who has to act.
I spent years designing experiments, publishing research, teaching full university courses, and helping students work through their own difficult projects. I left academia in 2023 and moved toward applied work: early product development, evaluation, research strategy, and the practical design of human oversight in AI-assisted systems.
I would rather tell you exactly what the evidence supports than make the story sound inevitable.

Led the team that won the NIST-funded CivX Data to Decision Challenge with TwinSight, a proposal that shifted smart-city digital twins from monitoring toward scenario-based judgment.

Building and evaluating early ideas, including an Android tool for family caregivers, while helping teams make research, evidence, and human oversight operational.

Some work is independently documented. Some is my own account. Some is a prototype that has not been validated. Those are different things, and this site labels them differently. If a claim matters to your decision, ask me what it rests on.
